Kites

Power or traction kites have either 4 or 2 lines, the bottom 2 lines of a 4 line kite are brake lines and when pulled the kite will collapse. With skill and the right wind conditions the flyer can land the kite anywhere he or she wants.  The brake lines can also be adjusted to make the kite fly better in light winds.  The lines are made from dyneema, which is far superior to ordinary nylon.  It stretches a lot less and is approximately a third of the thickness and weight of the equivalent strength nylon, it is also a lot more expensive.
